Oshawa's Music Lesson Place providing the Durham Region with music instruction for "kids" from Pre-school to 'Boomers' and Beyond!  Our private instrument and band instruction programs, coordinated by our professional musician instructor base, stand alone in the music teaching industry and provide a musical learning experience second to none.

Whether for yourself, or a friend or family member, the Music Lesson Place caters to aspiring musicians at any level of ability and focuses on making musical develOpment a positive and rewarding experience for students, parents and family sponsors.

Using recognized courses from internationally renowned musical institutions, the Music Lesson Place can prepare the small child for a lifetime of musical enjoyment, the teenager for post secondary musical education or the adult with leisure musical skills and strong music coaching abilities. 

The Music Lesson Place is a real Rock 'n' roll camp,  right here in Durham Region.  The music school opened 34 years ago in 1973 and the tried and true formula of teaching hasn't changed, because it works.

Jim McGraw, school founder, says the school has always focused on private lessons that compliment a band program for all ages.

"We get a drummer, bass player, keyboard player and a few guitarists and teach them how to sing and play the songs they like," says McGraw.  Then we put together shows where they can show off all their hard work."

The Music Lesson Place was the first private school that started teaching pop music and forming bands in Ontario, and probably the rest of Canada.  It was 34 years ago when they formed their first rock group, long before the now popular rock camps.  They're a rock camp on a daily basis, year after year.
